What will I learn?

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who undertake leadership and management roles in the automotive industry. It is suitable for entry into senior management roles in all sectors of the automotive industry.

International students will have the opportunity to complete the program on campus through practical training and assessment and on-the-job placements.

Opportunity exists for 18-month post-study work visa. This makes the student job-ready.

Existing workers currently employed in the industry may be eligible to complete the program through:

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Students will develop managerial skills and knowledge to apply in a leadership and management role including managing effective teams, providing customer service, managing finances and identifying and evaluating marketing opportunities.

To be awarded the Diploma of Automotive Management, the following units of competency must be achieved.

INTERNSHIP/ ON-THE-JOB WORK PLACEMENTS:

Students are encouraged to seek industry work placement to gain the maximum benefit from the course. This is an opportunity to not only apply and practice the skills acquired in a formal work environment, but to improve their capabilities. As a result, the student will not only meet but exceed their learning outcomes.

For international students

This qualification may be accessed by direct entry, Although, It is highly recommended that the student have:

  • have satisfactory numeracy and literacy capabilities
  • are mature age (over 18 years at the time of commencement) and
  • have sufficient work experience to successfully undertake this course.
