What will I learn?

This program builds your capacity to make an effective contribution to the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative, evidence-based, solutions to challenges arising from changing educational environments. You are able specialise in one of these areas: Advanced Practices in Learning and Teaching, or Leading Teaching and Learning. The program will develop your skills in three key abilities: to access the most up to date sources of research and scholarship in your specialist area, to analyse and synthesise this sometimes highly technical literature, and to effectively communicate the results to both academic and non-academic audiences. Subjects are designed to refine and enhance your knowledge and skills by applying them to authentic problems, tasks, and scenarios. Knowledge management, critical thinking, and communicative capabilities acquired through this degree will serve not only to enhance the educational institution in which you work and the capacities of your professional community, it will also to lay the foundation for your own lifelong learning. Please note that this is not a teaching qualification.

  • One step at a time
  • This course is a great place to begin your specialist studies, if you decide to continue learning you can easily step up to a Master's Degree with full credit for the units completed.
