This Masters degree builds on the knowledge from the Graduate Certificate in Criminology and Criminal Justice and will equip you for leading roles in criminal justice fields, tackling current and emerging criminal justice problems. You will develop a deeper understanding of the problem of crime in contemporary Australian society and key criminological theories and issues. You will have the opportunity to specialise through elective courses that focus either on specific agency or crime issues.

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Criminology and Criminal Justice, a student must hold: a three-year Bachelor degree in the same field of study from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (on a 7-point scale); OR a Graduate Certificate in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (on a 7-point scale) - these students will receive 40 credit points of advanced standing; OR a Bachelor Honours degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in the same field of study with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (on a 7-point scale) - these students may apply for up to 40 credit points of advanced standing.
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this program are as follows:
