What will I learn?

This program is designed for teachers and/or educational administrators in the health professions who wish to develop their research skills by undertaking studies leading to the award of the degree of Master of Health Professions Education (Research), either as full-time or part-time internal students or as students external to the University. The latter are required to spend a minimum of 14 weeks in the School during the program. An original investigation under the direction of a supervisor for a minimum period of three academic sessions in the case of a full-time candidate, or a minimum of four academic sessions in the case of a part-time or external candidate, is required.

Entry requirements

For international students

A candidate for the degree shall:

Have an MBBS or other medical degree (including such qualifications from another country), or
Have been awarded the degree of Bachelor, and have relevant experience.

In addition to (1) or (2), the candidate must have support from the proposed supervisor and the relevant Head of School.

English Language Requirements:

IELTS: 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL IBT (Internet Based): 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking); Pearson (PTE - Academic): 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest); C1 Advanced Cambridge: 176 overall (min. 169 in each subtest); C2 Proficiency Cambridge: 180 overall (min. 180 in each subtest); UNSW Global University English Entry Course (UEEC): Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component.
