La Trobe's Master of Management (Sport Management) is an industry-focused degree for those looking to launch a career in sport or take their sport management skills to the next level.
You'll develop the skills and business insight needed to organise, manage and promote sport at all levels. Through our strong industry connections in business and sport, you'll also gain practical insights into sport management with guest lectures from key players in the sport industry.

Learn what it takes to be a successful manager and overcome the influence of challenging workplace environments.

Help athletes get the most out their careers by learning how to manage legal issues and critically analyse the role of law in sport.
The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 9.

Admission may be granted to applicants without an undergraduate degree but with five or more years of relevant work experience. In making an offer to an applicant, the University will give consideration to a range of factors, including academic record, English proficiency and/or employment experience.
English language requirements
IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0
TOEFL Internet based (iBT): overall score of 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing.
La Trobe College Australia ELICOS (LTCA): completion of EFS level 6B with minimum 60% overall and 60% in final exam.
La Trobe College Australia Foundation Studies (LTCA): completion of Foundation studies with 70% in English (Academic Communication).
Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE): overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50.
Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component.
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): 169 with no less than 169 in any component.
