In this degree, you’ll cover the full spectrum of business, financial and management accounting – giving you a broad understanding of accounting and helping you build confidence working with current business accounting practices.

By studying this course, you also may be eligible for exemptions towards industry accreditations and memberships such as Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), CPA Australia and the Institute of Public Accountants.

The Master of Professional Accounting is suited to recent graduates and professionals in the early stages of their careers who have a bachelor's degree in another field, and are seeking to complement it with an accounting qualification.

Relevant Bachelor degree or equivalent. English language requirements: IELTS Academic: 6.5 (Reading: 6.0, Listening: 6.0, Writing: 6.0, Speaking: 6.0); TOEFL paper-based: 550 (Test of written English: 4.5); TOEFL internet: 79 (Reading: 13, Listening: 12, Writing: 21, Speaking: 18); Pearson Test of English (Academic): 58 (No PTE communicative skills score below 50); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): 176 (No skill score below 169); Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): 176 (No skill score below 169).

For international students

An Australian bachelor degree or equivalent qualification with a weighted average mark (WAM) of 60 or an equivalent grade point average (GPA) as determined by the faculty. Applicants who have completed relevant discipline units in an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) may be eligible for credit for advanced preparatory units on the basis of recognised prior learning (RPL).

Applicants will be ranked and selected based on their entire academic record.
