What will I learn?

The Master of Project Management will provide you with the advanced project management skills you will need for hands-on project management. This course is an ideal complement to your on-the-job experience and will equip you with the fundamental methodologies, modelling and analytical techniques for the design and implementation of projects across a wide range of industries.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Applicants need to have one of the following: a bachelor’s degree with first or second-class honours from the University of Sydney or another approved institution; an equivalent qualification that demonstrates sufficient research experience and capability. English Language Requirements: TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing; IELTS score: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band; TOEFL - PBT score: A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing.

For international students

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

an Australian bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Commerce, Engineering, Social Sciences, Health, etc.) with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification or

an Australian bachelor's degree (with honours) in an unrelated discipline, or equivalent qualification or

an Australian bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification and relevant industry experience and certifications or

a University of Sydney Graduate Diploma/Graduate Certificate in Project Management with a credit average (65 percent). Units completed in the graduate diploma/graduate certificate can be credited to the master’s degree.

Applicants with three years relevant, professional work experience are encouraged to provide their CV in order to gain admission into advanced units of study in this course.

TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing.

IELTS score: A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

TOEFL - PBT score: A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
