What will I learn?

This major prepares you to be a practical and industry-ready engineer capable of designing the electronics, robots and autonomous systems of the future. You will learn how to design, program and integrate electronic devices with mechanical designs that communicate with other computers, devices or even cloud-based systems. You will be able to deliver innovative solutions to real-world problems and design autonomous and intelligent devices ranging from self-driving vehicles to biomedical systems.

To be considered for an undergraduate course, you need to meet Deakins entry and course-specific requirements, as well as the English language minimum prerequisites.

Non-Year 12 applicants with:

higher education study

Vocational Education and Training (VET) study

work and life experience Or

completed Year 12 in 2021 or earlier.

Completion of one of the following:

2 credit points in an AQF Level 7 bachelor degree

certificate IV or higher in a related discipline

a diploma or higher in any discipline

at least 50% completion of a diploma or higher in a related discipline relevant work and life experience.
