What will I learn?

Humber’s Business Administration advanced diploma program allows you to develop extensive knowledge on how businesses work and teaches you to become competent in the full range of skills needed to facilitate business operations.

Courses in operations management, accounting, human resources management, marketing research and much more will give you the opportunity to cultivate key business skills such as communication, teamwork, project management and strategic business analysis. This program is built on a common platform of a solid business education – principles of management, marketing, business law, finance mathematics and microeconomics. This common platform is shared with other business diploma programs in year one and is expanded on in year two.

Work Placement

You’ll be assisted in finding a paid or unpaid business work placement where you’ll practice your skills during an 84-hour assignment. This adds valuable hands-on experience to your resume. Close relationships with the business professionals who constantly update the curriculum will give you valuable networking contacts.

You’re Career

With our program, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills to pursue a variety of potential career paths in business including management finance, human resources, marketing and international business administration. Among the roles you’ll be qualified to apply for are marketing researcher, merchandising manager, product manager, budget analyst, sales representative, financial planner, office manager, human resources administrator, advertising account coordinator and event planner.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses:

Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent)

Grade 12 Mathematics (MAP4C, MCT4C, MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U) or Grade 11 U or M Mathematics (MCR3U or MCF3M)

Two Grade 11 or Grade 12 C, M or U courses in addition to those listed above

Mature student status

College or university transfer status

Minimum IELTS Scores: Overall 6.0 and No band below 5.5

Minimum TOEFL Scores: 550 for paper-based test OR 80 (20L, 20W, 20S, 20R) for internet-based test

Minimum PTE Score of 53 - 57

Minimum EAP Score: Successful completion of all EAP courses with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 60% in Level 8.

Application deadline: Be sure to submit your application by the equal consideration deadline of February 1. You may apply after February 1; however, post-February 1 applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis depending on the availability of the space in the program.
