  • You’ve been working in an office environment for some time, but would like to refresh your skills to become proficient with new office technology.

Practicum

At the end of the program, a three-week practicum with a local employer gives you an opportunity to apply your skills in an office environment before you graduate. UFV’s ABT program has a solid reputation for teaching office practices along with the latest software, so you’re job ready.

Other opportunities

Applied Business Technology training prepares you to pursue a specialization as a legal administrative assistant, medical or dental office assistant, records management professional, and more.

ABT graduates can also use the skills gained from the program to complete a diploma or a bachelor’s degree. At UFV, you can use the credits earned through your Applied Business Technology certificate towards earning diploma or a Bachelor of General Studies.
