Entry requirements

For students from United States

All programs require successful completion of the OSS Diploma and a minimum 70% average of six Grade 12 U or M courses, including ENG4U. Applicants who have completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum overall score of 24, and passes in a minimum of 6 subjects including at least three courses at the Higher Level will be considered for admission to the University of Windsor. English Language Requirements: A minimum score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or A minimum score of 60 on the Carleton University’s Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL); or A minimum score of 60 on the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE); or A minimum overall score of 176 on the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or the Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE); or Successful completion of the University of Windsor's English Language Improvement Program (ELIP) (level III) with a minimum final grade of 75%; or A minimum score of 85 on the English Proficiency Test administered by the English Language Institute of the University of Michigan (MELAB); or A minimum score of 220 with a T.W.E. 4.5 on the Computer-based Test, 83 with an essay score of 20 on the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (T.O.E.F.L.).

For international students

MIN. AVG.* 70% ONTARIO COURSE REQUIREMENTS ENG4U required, one of MHF4U, MCV4U or MDM4U or SPH4U and must submit a Transport Canada Category 1 Medical Certificate; a Transport Canada Formal Aviation Language Proficiency Demonstration (Canadian citizens who have graduated from a Canadian English or French speaking high school are exempt), and a Supplementary Application Form: short essay/questions.

English Language Proficiency Requirement

A minimum score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or
A minimum score of 60 on the Carleton University’s Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL); or
A minimum score of 60 on the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE); or
A minimum overall score of 176 on the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or the Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE); or
Successful completion of the University of Windsor's English Language Improvement Program (ELIP) (level III) with a minimum final grade of 75%; or
A minimum score of 85 on the English Proficiency Test administered by the English Language Institute of the University of Michigan (MELAB); or
A minimum score of 83 with an writing score of 20 on the Internet-based Test (IBT) of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Prospective students completing the Paper-Delivered Test (PDT) of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) will have their results assessed on an individual basis; or
A minimum score of 120 on the current Duolingo English Test (DET)
