What will I learn?

Spread your wings and fly! Take advantage of the growing demand for pilots to serve as leaders in aviation and aerospace. Your academic education is coupled with flight training, run by our industry partner, Journey Air, at the Windsor International Airport. We’ll put you in a plane in your first week of school.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

All programs require successful completion of the OSS Diploma and a minimum 70% average of six Grade 12 U or M courses, including ENG4U. Applicants who have completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum overall score of 24, and passes in a minimum of 6 subjects including at least three courses at the Higher Level will be considered for admission to the University of Windsor. English Language Requirements: A minimum score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or A minimum score of 60 on the Carleton University’s Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL); or A minimum score of 60 on the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE); or A minimum overall score of 176 on the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or the Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE); or Successful completion of the University of Windsor's English Language Improvement Program (ELIP) (level III) with a minimum final grade of 75%; or A minimum score of 85 on the English Proficiency Test administered by the English Language Institute of the University of Michigan (MELAB); or A minimum score of 220 with a T.W.E. 4.5 on the Computer-based Test, 83 with an essay score of 20 on the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (T.O.E.F.L.).

For international students

MIN. AVG.* 70% ONTARIO COURSE REQUIREMENTS ENG4U required, one of MHF4U, MCV4U or MDM4U or SPH4U and must submit a Transport Canada Category 1 Medical Certificate; a Transport Canada Formal Aviation Language Proficiency Demonstration (Canadian citizens who have graduated from a Canadian English or French speaking high school are exempt), and a Supplementary Application Form: short essay/questions.

English Language Proficiency Requirement

  • A minimum score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or
  • A minimum score of 60 on the Carleton University’s Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL); or
  • A minimum score of 60 on the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE); or
  • A minimum overall score of 176 on the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or the Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE); or
  • Successful completion of the University of Windsor's English Language Improvement Program (ELIP) (level III) with a minimum final grade of 75%; or
  • A minimum score of 85 on the English Proficiency Test administered by the English Language Institute of the University of Michigan (MELAB); or
  • A minimum score of 83 with an writing score of 20 on the Internet-based Test (IBT) of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Prospective students completing the Paper-Delivered Test (PDT) of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) will have their results assessed on an individual basis; or
  • A minimum score of 120 on the current Duolingo English Test (DET)
