Commerce, education, finance, travel, entertainment – computer engineers are responsible for making it all happen... and rapidly evolve. Computer engineering is at the intersection of digital hardware and computer science to create advanced computer systems and leading-edge software. Computer engineers build connections between the virtual world and the physical world.Computer engineering relies on expertise in engineering, computer science, and mathematics and combines software engineering and computer hardware and architecture. In this program, you will study circuits, electronics, digital systems, microprocessors, computer architecture, data structures, algorithms, computer networks, operating systems, and software specification and development.You may choose to specialize in computer hardware, computer systems, software engineering, artificial intelligence, or mechatronics streams of specialization, and complement your core knowledge with advanced topics in electrical and computer engineering.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants must have the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), and six 4U/4M courses. Students must have a minimum of three 4U courses, except where stated otherwise. Students in francophone schools may offer the equivalent of English 4U.

The accepted tests of facility in English and the minimally acceptable scores for each are:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - Score of 6.5 on Academic Module with no band below 6.0; Test of English as a Foreign Language (
