What will I learn?

Creativity drives culture. We are a community of professional artists, designers, scholars, and students who look at visual ways of creating. Within a variety of interdisciplinary historical, critical, and theoretical contexts, we explore how visual art and design practices can be used to create and critique culture. Our program empowers students to become creative leaders who are able to adapt and innovate in our rapidly changin world. As a student of Art and Design at TWU, you will receive one-on-one mentorship within a supportive and challenging creative community. You will be encouraged to take risks, think critically, and explore intersections between faith and art. Grounded within a liberal arts core, this program offers visual foundations, digital design, art history, theory, and studio practices such as drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, and intermedia installations.Our alumni have used our program as the foundation for a wide range of creative careers in areas such as:Graphic Design,Web Design,UI/UX Design,Illustration,Contemporary Art,Photography,Museum & Gallery Administration and CurationArt History,Art TherapyCreativity drives culture. Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have standing in five subjects of which at least two must be taken at the Advanced level. Students may be eligible for three semester hours of credit for each Advanced level course completed to a maximum of 12 semester hours provided that a minimum grade of C is achieved in that course. Departments will determine if the credit awarded is general or course specific. The following equivalents will be considered: 1. School Certificate: same as GCE with at least two passes at the principal level of the Higher School Certificate. 2. Certificate of matriculation from recognized universities. 3. International Baccalaureate with at least two subjects at the higher level. 4. Other countries: write or email the Admissions Office for information. Complete four consecutive years of full-time high school or post-secondary education in a North American curriculum, where English is the principal language of instruction (outside of approved countries) immediately prior to admission to TWU. Achieve a final grade of 3 or better on the IB English 12 A1 or A2 (HL) or a final grade of 4 or better on the IB English 12 A1 or A2 (SL) or IB English 12 B with a grade of 4 or better.
