As a part of TWU’s theatre program, you will critically engage with issues of faith and art in every class. Our graduates have a well-rounded theatre education and a broad knowledge of the liberal arts. Previous alumni have established careers as actors, directors, producers, designers, stage managers, playwrights, teachers, and arts administrators.
BACHELOR OF ARTS (BA) THEATRE
A BA with a major in Theatre provides a strong foundation in all aspects of theatre, with the flexibility to specialize. Whether your passions lie in directing, playwriting, stage managing or dramatic literature, our program can be tailored to your interests. Our small class sizes allow for in-depth mentorship opportunities with professors.

AFTER GRADUATION
Our students have been successful in the professional theatre industries across Canada and in the US as actors, designers, and technicians. Many students have also become highly qualified theatre educators in high schools through the completion of BC’s one year PDP program. Other students have gone on to achieve distinction in a variety of other professions, including law; marketing, non-profit human rights organizations, and entrepreneurial endeavors.

Students must have standing in five subjects of which at least two must be taken at the Advanced level.
The following equivalents will be considered:
School Certificate: same as GCE with at least two passes at the principal level of the Higher School Certificate.
Certificate of matriculation from recognized universities.
International Baccalaureate with at least two subjects at the higher level.

Applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency in both oral and written academic English:
TOEFL (Test of English Foreign Language Internet-Based Test): Overall Score: 88 with a minimum score of 21 in each of the four areas and a TWE of at least 5.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System (Academic)): Overall score: 6.5 with 6.0 on Writing Band
CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment): Overall score: 70
