What will I learn?

Join the RTA School of Media, named one of the top 15 international media schools by the Hollywood reporter, to master storytelling and audience experience. Learn to produce content for various platforms, including video, television, podcast, radio AR/VR, transmedia and live productions. Refine your skills through experiential opportunities like hosting SpiritLive Radio, which is broadcast from our state-of-the-art studios. Connect with professionals through networking events and industry internships and gain a global perspective of the entertainment industry through the Los Angeles boot camp. Our graduates include New Girl’s Hannah Simone and writer/producer Vera Santamaria, whose recent credits include BoJack Horseman, Orange is the New Black and Schitt’s Creek.

After Graduation

Establish a strong foundation in the art, craft and business of media production to contribute to society, in broadcasting, on-air hosting, producing, screenwriting; media management; digital media sales; or screenwriting, producing, directing, editing, and talent casting. You may work as a line producer, agent, broadcast executive, copywriter or development executive. Or, pursue graduate studies in media entrepreneurship, screenwriting or entertainment law.

This is a Grades-Only program. Students are evaluated on the basis of academic achievement/grades only. Additional non-academic requirements are not required for admission consideration.

Entry requirements

For international students

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses including some program specific requirements.

English language requirements: IELTS: 6.5, TOEFL: 92-93 Internet-based, CAEL score of 70 and PTE score of 60, Cambridge English - 180 and above on C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency.

February 1 is the guaranteed consideration date for applications to all programs.
