Earn a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree and Electrical Engineering Technology Advanced diploma at the same time with this four-year collaborative program from Lakehead University and Georgian College (Lakehead-Georgian).

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Ontario high school students: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses including: English (ENG4U), Advanced Functions (MHF4U), One (1) credit from: Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U), Data Management (MDM4U) or Computer Science (ICS4U). A minimum final average, based on the best six Grade 12 U or M courses, of 70% is required.

For international students

Ontario high school students: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses including:

ENG4U (English)
MHF4U (Advanced Functions) (min. 60%)
SPH4U (Physics)
SCH4U (Chemistry)
Two additional Grade 12 U or M credits; MCV4U (Calculus and Vectors) is strongly recommended; one additional credit in Math, Science or Technological Education at 12 U or M is recommended

A minimum final average, based on the best six Grade 12 U or M courses, of 70% is required.

Applicants must meet ONE of the following criteria to meet Georgians language proficiency requirements:

  • TOEFL Internet-based test (IBT): 89
  • TOEFL Paper-based test: 580
  • IELTS Academic only: 6.5
  • YELT: 1-5
  • TOEIC: 850
  • Graduate of Level 8 of Georgians GAAS - English for Academic Purposes: Completion of level 8 with 75% or higher
  • Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL): 60
  • Pearson Test of Academic English (PTE): 61
  • Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): 175
