What will I learn?

Do you enjoy working in a laboratory? Would you enjoy analyzing a range of different laboratory tests in a health care environment? The medical laboratory science program allows you to explore various topics such as biology, organic chemistry, biochemistry and genetics. You will participate in computer-assisted research, statistical analyses of medical experiments and data, safety practices and infection control, and professional communication.

Metabolism, Biometrics, Cell Biology, Enzymes, Biomedical Ethics, Management Communication.

Career Opportunities:
Graduates find employment in research, biotechnology companies, community health clinics, private laboratories, public health facilities and university research laboratories.

Students must have completed High School (Secondary School). English Language Proficiency Requirements: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - Internet Based: Overall 83; Reading: 20; Listening: 20; Speaking: 20; Writing: 20; IELTS - Academic: Overall Band score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0; CanTest (Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainees): Listening 4.5, Reading 4.5, Writing 4.0; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 59, No area with less than 59; CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment): 60; MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery): 85; CELT (Comprehensive English Language Test): 60. GCSE/IGCSE/GCE O' Level English, English Language, or English as a Second Language with a minimum grade of '6' (grade of B prior to 2017) or GCE A/AS/AICE Level English or English Language with a minimum grade of 'C'.
