What will I learn?

Develop scientific investigative techniques to identify and address complex health challenges for the purpose of improving human health and well-being.

Our Health Sciences program will adequately prepare you for postgraduate opportunities in health-related fields, such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, public health and epidemiology.

Program Highlights

Through a case-based learning approach in several senior courses, you’ll be introduced to the teaching methods used by many health-based professional programs, and learn to integrate knowledge from multiple interdisciplinary perspectives.

Senior students have research opportunities with Health Sciences faculty through directed studies and senior thesis courses.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have the following:

  • Minimum admission range of mid 80s.
  • Competitive admission range of low 90s.
  • Advanced Functions at 60%.
  • Biology at 60%.
  • Chemistry at 60%.
  • English at 60%.
  • All prerequisite courses calculated in admission average.

International Baccalaureate Requirements

  • HL or SL English at 3.
  • HL or SL Mathematics at 3.
  • HL or SL Chemistry at 3.
  • HL or SL Biology at 3.
  • IB Minimum Score: 30.

English Proficiency

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Internet-based testing (TOEFL iBT): an overall score of 83 or higher with a minimum score of 20 in each component; Paper-based testing: 560 or higher.

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - An academic score of 6.5 or higher with a minimum of 6.0 in each band.

Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) - 70 overall or higher (each band 60 or higher).

Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) - 59 overall or higher.

Cambridge Assessment English (CAE) - Overall score of 176.
