Earn a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Financial Mathematics in five years. This accelerated double-degree program gives graduates a competitive career advantage with a solid understanding of business practises and the complex modern financial instruments used to manage risk and generate profits.
In your mathematics courses, you’ll build the quantitative expertise needed to analyze risk in business and industry. You’ll understand the theory and the methods that are essential to succeed in the financial sector. In business courses, you'll learn about internal and external business structures and processes and the skills to manage them.

In your first year, you’ll work in a team to generate and present a new venture for our BDO New Venture Competition, and in your third year, you’ll put your business knowledge to the test during a weeklong case study competition, where you’ll analyze a real problem facing a real company.
The Laurier Student Investment Fund is a student-managed investment fund that manages nearly $1 million – and you can help this fund continue to be a great success story for Laurier. Last year, the fund had a remarkable 47.5% annual return at year end (for reference, TSX index had a 21.6% return).
Our program will give you experience solving real-world problems in financial mathematics and risk management in our math labs, where you’ll use the appropriate mathematical and statistical software.

English Proficiency
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Internet-based testing (TOEFL iBT): an overall score of 83 or higher with a minimum score of 20 in each component; Paper-based testing: 560 or higher.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - An academic score of 6.5 or higher with a minimum of 6.0 in each band.
Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) - 70 overall or higher (each band 60 or higher).
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) - 59 overall or higher.
Cambridge Assessment English (CAE) - Overall score of 176.
