What will I learn?

In this two-year diploma program, you take courses in financial and management accounting, taxation and business law, while gaining a solid background in communication and team building.

The diploma provides you with a comprehensive overview of accounting procedures and principles that allows you to graduate with intermediate-level accounting knowlege.

The Accounting and Strategic Measurement diploma is designed to be completed in two full-time years, but can also be taken part-time to fit around your schedule.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants must have a minimum overall average of 65 percent, with no course grade lower than 50 percent, in the following high school courses:

  1. ELA 30-1 or ELA 30-2
  2. Mathematics 30-1 or Mathematics 30-2
  3. Three Subjects from Group A, B, C, or D

Applicants must be 20 years of age or older and have been out of full-time high school at least one year by the beginning of the intake term. Applicants must have a minimum overall average of 65 percent, with no course grade lower than 50 percent, in the following high school courses:

  1. ELA 30-1 or ELA 30-2
  2. Mathematics 30-1 or Mathematics 30-2

Applicants with nine or more post-secondary level credits must also present a minimum Admission Grade Point Average (AGPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Applicants must present a minimum of 24 post-secondary credits with a minimum admission grade point average (AGPA) of 2.0 on the 4.0 scale and must have completed the required core courses listed under the regular or mature category.

English Language Proficiency

  • IELTS–Academic: Minimum overall band score of 6.5 and a minimum score of 5.5 in each band.
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (Internet-Based Test (iBT)): Minimum total score of 86 and a minimum score of 21 in each section.
  • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): Minimum overall band score of 70 and a minimum score of 60 in each band.
  • PTE – Academic: Minimum overall score of 59 and a minimum score of 56 in each band.
  • Cambridge English: Advanced/Proficiency: Minimum overall score of 180 and a minimum score of 165 in each skill.
  • Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): Minimum overall score of 85 and a minimum score of 80 in GCVR, Listening, and Writing and a 3 in Speaking Test.
  • Duolingo: Minimum overall band score of 115.
