Whatever your stream, you’ll grow your agricultural and business knowledge. You'll:

  • evaluate new and future technologies for agriculture
  • develop commodity marketing skills
  • learn financial and risk management
  • receive negotiations and sales training
  • create marketing plans
  • expand your leadership and management skills

You’ll put what you learn into action:

  • develop and present business plans
  • operate a farm through a simulation course
  • plan an event (Band in the Sand)
  • compete in an agribusiness case competition
  • host and run a major retail event

Add to your qualifications: Stay another year and earn a second diploma.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

High school diploma with a minimum of 50% in: English 30-1 or 65% in English 30-2; Chemistry 30 (recommended) or 65% in Chemistry 20; Biology 30 (recommended) or 65% in Biology 20; Math 30-1 or 60% in Math 30-2.

For international students

High school diploma with a minimum 50% in:

  • English 30-1 or English 30-2
  • Math 30-1 or Math 30-2

English Language Requirements:

TOEFL ((Test of English as a Foreign Language) - minimum of 78 on the internet-based test (iBT) with a minimum score of 19 in each of the four tested areas.

IELTS ((International English Language Testing System) - minimum score of 6.0 overall with at least 6.0 on each band score on the Academic test.

CAEL (Canadian Assessment of English Language) - minimum score of 60 overall with at least 55 on each band score.

MET (Michigan English Test) - minimum score of 58 on all bands.

Duolingo – minimum score of 100.

PTE-A (Pearson Test of English, Academic) - minimum score of 53 with no communication skill score lower than 50.
