A Day in the Life

Recently, we spoke with Alicia, a current student in the Early Childhood Education program, to find out what a day looks like for her in this program. See what she shared with us.

Note:

The ECE Diploma program has two intakes per year. Students may start the 1-year, full-time diploma program in either September or January.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING ADMISSION: Diploma students are required to take English 1123 in term one. Students must ensure they have the prerequisites for English 1123 as they differ from the English requirements for acceptance into the ECE Diploma program. An LET ( Langara English Test) score of 3 or successful completion of English 1107 are two ways of meeting the prerequisites for English 1123. See the English 1123 course description for all prerequisites.

The Post Basic ECE Special Needs Citation program has intakes in September and January. Once the three evening courses are complete, there is a practicum requirement.

The ECE Certificate program has three intakes per year, in September, January, and May. The ECE Certificate program is part-time and is entirely online, with the exception of the 3 practica.

Please visit the Frequently Asked Questions tab for IMPORTANT information about admissions, prerequisites for English 1123, and other details for interested applicants.
