What will I learn?

We focus on the management skills, rather than a policy orientation, with an emphasis on strategic planning, financial management, leadership, communication and negotiation. You will have the knowledge, skills and abilities you’ll need to enter the public administration field as a beginning practitioner.

This well-rounded program includes relevant and applied content. Some of the courses are also available in an online or blended learning format.

You'll have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through our Co-operative Education and Internship programs.

What You'll Learn

You’ll gain a general overview of public administration at all levels of government, incorporating elements of general management practice including financial and human resource management along with a specific context for working in government.

Entry requirements

For international students

High school graduation or at least 19 years old on the first day of classes.

BC high school English 12 or equivalent with final grade of C+ or better.

Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 on each section.

TOEFL iBT overall score of 83 with no less than 20 on each section.
