Program Overview

In an evolving world of data overload, businesses are searching to turn opportunities into actionable results. This program will provide you with the necessary knowledge, skills, and hands-on experiences to place you at the centre of where statistical analysis meets business insights.

Learn to translate the promise of big data into meaningful information using industry leading tools and techniques. You will have broad and in-depth training in the analysis of big data, statistical and predictive modeling, data management, visualization, and data storytelling. You will learn to solve complex business problems as well as how to present complex insights efficiently and effectively.

This first semester supports students transitioning into the Canadian business environment. Successful graduates of this 2-year program become eligible to apply for a 3-year post-graduation work permit.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Applicants must have a university degree or a three-year college diploma from a recognized institution. English Language Requirements: TOEFL (paper-based): 580+; TOEFL (computer-based): 88+ (with no test below 22); CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment): Overall band score of 70 and Writing 60; IELTS (Academic): 6.5+ (with no single test score below 6.0); Pearson Test of English (Academic): 60+; ITEP (International Test of English Proficiency): 4.1+.

For international students

Academic Requirements

  • Degree or Ontario advanced diploma or equivalent with a minimum 3.0 GPA

English Language Requirement

  • Minimum TOEFL score of 580 (paper-based) or TOEFL (computer-based) 88+ (with no test below 22)
  • IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5+ (with no single test score below 6.0)
  • CAEL with an overall band score of 70; writing score 60, or
  • MELAB score of 82, or
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic) score of 60 plus, or
  • ITEP ( International Test of English Proficiency) score of 4.1 plus
