Gain expertise in digital finance concepts and the tools and practices required in this quickly evolving field. A combination of theory and hands-on projects, along with opportunities for industry collaboration will ensure you get the skills needed to succeed in the digital finance industry.

You will learn the fundamentals of a wide range of topics within industry, including blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analysis, portfolio management, and risk management and mitigation.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Analyse business requirements to inform strategic decision-making for the design and implementation of fintech solutions.

Recommend distributed ledger solutions for enterprise that enable trade using digital assets.

Evaluate and adjust policies and procedures based on legal compliance and ethical guidelines to ensure data security, integrity, and confidentiality in the delivery of fintech applications for enterprises.

Analyse interorganizational and intergovernmental structures, collaborative processes, and stakeholder relationships for transparency and accountability in decentralized governance.

Create and lead a collaborative environment to complete projects and facilitate change management in a decentralized organization context.

Design and recommend a trust framework of blockchain technology, decentralized finance and cryptocurrencies to manage records, documentation, financial transactions and controls for enterprise operations.

Design and recommend innovative technologies to create fintech solutions that meet strategic business priorities.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students applying to Digital Finance must meet the following requirements:

Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma, Degree or equivalent.

English language proficiency requirements:

  • IELTS : 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
  • TOEFL : 88 with no score less than 22
  • Pearson Test English: 60+

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
