Join a growing field of long term care and retirement community management and fulfil your career aspirations of providing an essential service. The Canadian population is aging and there is a growing demand for skilled administrators to support the increased demand for long term care facilities. Conestoga's program in Long Term Care Management will allow you to develop the skills necessary for administrators working in long term care, including financial, operational, human resources, and quality improvement. You will enter a dynamic and challenging career of long term care management and directly contribute to an increased quality of life for Canadians.

Careers - September 2024

This program will be a complementary dual-offer program to Health Care Administration Management (#1506). This program will also be attractive to students pursuing allied health, nursing, or PSW credentials to gain a skillset in administration and management in a long term care setting. Graduates may also choose to complement their studies with an additional graduate certificate or may choose to pursue a relevant Master's degree in alignment with their previous educational background.

Entry requirements

For international students

A two - or three-year diploma or a degree in business or a health-related discipline from an accredited college or university

OR

A combination of academic studies and a minimum of 2 years of related industry/professional experience

English Language Requirements:

  • IELTS overall band of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT 88
  • CAEL 70, no sub-test band score less than 60
  • PTE Academic 58
  • CELAP (Conestoga English Language Assessment and Placement) - 82 or higher
  • Duolingo English Test minimum score of 115
  • Cambridge Exams minimum score of 180, with no individual skill less than 170
