What will I learn?

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Graduate Program of the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management. At no time in our history has research in the fields of applied health, leisure and human performance been more important for improving the quality of life.We are becoming a society that is generally less active, more overweight, and more stressed, with the disturbing observation that our younger people are specific targets for these life-threatening conditions. Researchers in the Faculty, who conduct their research in the one-of-a-kind Health, Leisure Human Performance Research Institute associated with the Faculty are currently conducting cutting-edge research into these complex issues. Our many and diverse research laboratory environments, as well as our collaborations with other Faculties and with community groups, provide perspective graduate students with research experiences that range from the fundamental and theoretical, to the applied, and even to the natural experiment environment that our community collaborations involve.Students with undergraduate course deficiencies may be admitted to the Pre-Master's program to complete the background requirements.Expected Duration - 1 year.
