Overview
The Faculty of Liberal Arts offers a wide range of programs, from traditional arts disciplines such as English and History to new and interdisciplinary fields of study such as User Experience Design. In all programs you’ll get both knowledge and know-how; all programs offer you opportunities to apply what you learn in the classroom to the real world.
A degree in Liberal Arts provides you with many opportunities to explore different fields while developing essential skills in critical thinking and communication. Additionally, you’ll gain a greater understanding of the world around you – and how you can positively influence it.
Liberal Arts Program Structure
During the UTP Stage II: Liberal Arts program you will study courses that introduce you to a wide range of disciplines. Below is a sample of the courses that you might take during the program.

You will transfer into the Honours Bachelor of Design program in the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Wilfrid Laurier University with 5.0 credits (10 courses) toward your degree upon successful completion of the UTP Stage II: Faculty of Liberal Arts (Honours BDes) program if you meet the following requirements:

Entry into UTP Stage II generally requires the successful completion of Year 12 of secondary school or its equivalent with overall and individual subject requirements depending on the program.
