What will I learn?

What is the programme about?

Our programme engages with the exciting, expressive world of Animation & Motion Design. We focus on developing creative individuals with artistic design skills and vision to produce a wide variety of screen content for film, television, digital and commercial space. Through demonstrations and workshops you acquire industry ready skills - drawing, design thinking, visual exploration, problem solving and collaboration. Physical art making is at the core of our approach as we explore the design of moving imagery using new and emerging digital tools and traditional production methods. Our mantra is ‘to make’ rather than ‘to find’. Drawing, stop-motion, cinematography, compositing and visual FX are key components. The Animation & Motion Design world is a healthy and thriving business looking to recruit trained graduates on an annual basis.

Graduate testimony.

Equipped with the language and creative skills to meet the challenge of a cross-disciplinary audiovisual environment, our graduates have gained employment in Ireland’s top Animation & Motion Design studios. They work with film & television title design, traditional and digital animation, motion design, compositing, concept art and storyboarding.
