Introduction

The Bachelor of Agriculture (Animal Science) program aims to produce competent animal science graduates who are able to apply the knowledge and skills gained in planning, management and research to improve quality and competitiveness in the animal industry. The program will equip the graduates with up-to-date knowledge and skills in animal production science. They will also be able to carry out modern and commercial livestock agro-industrial activities as an enterprise, or pursue post-graduate studies. The curriculum covers various disciplines in animal production science and includes courses in management, economics and agricultural marketing. Students are also required to undergo industrial training and conduct a research project in animal science.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Applicant who is interested in pursuing his/ her studied at UPM must fulfil the following: To have received a National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level or the equivalent of 12 years of basic education) with the grade 80% and above. or a Diploma from recognized Institutions with at least a CGPA of 3.00. English Language Requirements: IELTS - Minimum overall score of 6.0 for TESL/English or 5.5 for other programmes; or TOEFL - Minimum overall score of 550 for TESL/English or 500 for other programmes; or Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) - Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) - enrolled at ELS-UPM - Level 109 English or Level 107 for other programmes.

For international students

Applicant who is interested in pursuing his/ her studied at UPM must fulfill the following:
