What will I learn?

The programme intends to provide a space for the development of teaching and learning, emphasizing on the studies of the region including its politics, economy, culture and security.

Using the multi-disciplinary approach of considering issues and application, students in the initial stage are required to take two Departmental core subjects including South East Asian languages. Students in their final year of study are required to take the research paper component.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have the following requirements

  • National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level equivalent) with the grade 80% and above or
  • A Diploma from recognized Institutions with at least a CGPA of 3.00.
  • Applicant may be required to undergo an interview session for certain selection programme before being accepted by the respective faculty.

Applicants must achieve one of the qualifications listed below:

(a) IELTS Academic- a minimum band of 5.0 and above; or

(b) TOEFL - PBT (score of 500), CBT (173), IBT (60) and above; or

(c) MUET - Band of 3 and above; or

(d) PTE Academic - Score 41 and above in Pearson Test of Academic English; or

(e) A Level - Grade C and above in English for General Certificate of Education, University of Cambridge; or

(f) O Level - Grade C and above in English for General Certificate of Secondary Education, University of Cambridge; or

(g) Cambridge Assessment English: First (FCE) - Grade C and above.

Deadline for International applicants : June for Semester I intake and November for Semester II intake
