What will I learn?

The primary role of public administration is to execute government policies at all levels (federal, state and local) of the nation's administration. Public administrators draft, analyse and implements policies through a wide range of agencies and directly impact who has access to resources, general living standards, and opportunities for diverse communities.

A public administration degree is a good start for students who desire to make positive impact on the social and economic well-being of individuals, communities and the general public. Skills employed across the filed of public administration are often transferrable to manage non-profit organisations and other private enterprises.

The 3-year public administration degree programme aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge of governance and public administration as well as equipped them with valuable skills as required in various work settings. Students will learn to solve real problems and address the challenges in various contexts such as governance, public administration, policy analysis and international relations regionally and globally.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students must have A-Level with 2-3 passes in the relevant subjects or high school leaving examination equivalent with 5 passes. They also must have the following minimum score are as follows: IELTS 5.0, TOEFL iBT – 42, Cambridge English: Advance (CAE) – 154, Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 47, Malaysia University English Test (MUET): Band 3.

For international students

Students must have A-Level with 2-3 passes in the relevant subjects or high school leaving examination equivalent with 5 passes.

They also must have the following minimum score are as follows:

IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL iBT 46 / PTE 51 / equivalent

Cambridge English: Advance (CAE) – 154

Malaysia University English Test (MUET): Band 3
