What will I learn?

The Master of Science in Built Environment (by Research) aims to provide a continuation of studies for the graduates of Bachelor degree from various disciplines in Built Environment such as Architecture. Construction Management and Economics, Estate Management and Quantity Surveying in order to cater for the professional needs of construction industry.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MQF) with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent grade which is approved by the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College Senate; OR A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MQF) not meeting CGPA of 2.75 but above 2.50, can be accepted, subject to rigorous internal assessment which is approved by the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College Senate; A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MQF) with CGPA lower than 2.50 with 5 years of relevant working experience in the field of study which is approved by the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College Senate. English Language Requirements: IELTS Band 5.0; OR Exemption of English Language requirement if first language is English or the medium of instruction in Bachelor degree was in English.

For international students

A Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines of built environment such as Architecture, Building Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate of TAR UC; OR
A Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines of built environment with minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
A Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines of built environment, not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field; OR
Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines of built environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field that are accepted by the Senate of TAR UC.

English Language Requirements
