This field of study emphasises the fundamental principles of chemical engineering. Research in the field includes design, control, operation, optimisation and kinetics of chemical processes. Process integration, process safety, plant management, and related applications of advanced computation engineering are also covered. The fundamentals of science and engineering are exploited and integrated to invent and formulate novel, sustainable, renewable and biodegradable products. The chemical and process industries covered are petrochemical, oil and gas production, mineral and advanced material processing, food processing, pharmaceutical, neutraceutical and bioproduct processing.

The applicant should possess a Bachelor’s degree (with honours) in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 3.000, or
The applicant who has insufficient academic qualification can be admitted into the programme subjected to any other requirement specified by the Faculty/Institute.
An applicant from a local public university who is in the final semester of his undergraduate study programme may be considered for provisional admission provided that his latest CGPA or its equivalent academic result satisfies the graduate programme admission requirements.

Band 6.0 for IELTS (Academic Training); or
79-80 for TOEFL Internet-based Test (Academic Version); or
Level 109 for CIEP at ELS Language Centre; or
Any English Language Test which is equivalent to B2 in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
