This field focuses on providing advanced academic understanding and increased student awareness on current practices in hospitality industry. It also offer platforms for research students in areas including hospitality management and marketing, service operations and economics of hospitality firms. The supply and value chain in accommodation industry such as hotels, resorts and homestays; as well as food service industry such as restaurant, catering and other similar business outlets. Research areas also emphasis on operational issues in hospitality organisations, strategic management, service quality, customer experience, entrepreneurship and economic evaluation. Research students will be exposed to attending appropriate research classes as well as conducting research activities under the professional supervision of respective research expert in this field.

Candidates should have:
A bachelor degree with minimum CGPA of 3.00 on a 4-point scale from institution recognized by UPM or;
Work experience of at least 2 years if CGPA less than 3.00 or;
Work experience of 5 years or more if CGPA less than 2.50
For applicants with one of the following
550 for the TOEFL Paper-based Test (Academic Version); or
Band 6.0 for IELTS (Academic Training); or
79-80 for TOEFL Internet-based Test (Academic Version); or
Level 109 for CIEP at ELS Language Centre; or
Any English Language Test which is equivalent to B2 in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
