What will I learn?

During the core semester you acquire a solid foundation in economics and business concepts. These are related to innovative energy project design and related aspects of the energy business. Combined with planning, strategic decision-making and communication, this core knowledge will allow you to analyse energy business challenges from an interdisciplinary perspective. The core semester can be followed at either Hanze UAS or the University of Pisa.

The second semester focuses on systems operations and optimization (Netherlands) or on sustainable energy management (Spain). In-depth conceptual lectures are accompanied by practical assignments and technically orientated company visits. As a student you are required to actively contribute to the course content by presenting papers and carrying out research tasks.

After graduation

The European Master in Sustainable Energy System Management focuses on the multidisciplinary aspects of energy systems. It provides management and communication skills, as well as the necessary technical knowledge to tackle the challenge of the energy system transition.

You will gain the technical, analytical, communication skills required for you to become a key member of the future renewable energy workforce. You could become a project manager or system innovator, for instance.
