What will I learn?

In the two-year, English-language Master's program in Internet Science & Technology you learn from world-leading experts to build, maintain, secure and improve interactive intelligent systems. This highly specialized training is one of the few of its kind in the world.

With our Master's degree in Internet Science & Technology you become a creative expert in understanding, maintaining, securing and further developing mutually communicating networks and cyber-physical systems. Think of 4G, 5G, WiFi or other wireless networks, the 'cloud', Internet of Things (IoT) systems or ad hoc networks, for example the constantly changing networks between self-driving vehicles or an emergency network in a disaster area.

The most important technological breakthroughs in the near future will, among other things, have to do with connecting networks and systems. In this master you learn how to build, maintain, secure and improve such interactive intelligent systems in a creative, technically responsible way.

The Master's in Internet Science & Technology is one of the few courses in the field of communication networks worldwide - and the only one in the Netherlands. With this master you therefore join a very select group of specialists in building, maintaining, securing and improving the architecture for interactive systems. You also get plenty of room for personal preferences. You can delve into specific areas, work on your own entrepreneurship, or, for example, build a bridge to social sciences or a social theme such as energy, mobility or healthcare.

Your prior education

To be able to follow this master you must have a solid foundation in Computer Science and Engineering. Most applicants have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or, for example, Electrical Engineering. With a less specialized bachelor, for example Creative Technology, you can also follow this master after you have first completed a pre-master's. Even if you have a college degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, you must first follow a pre-Master's degree.

Excellent career prospects

This training offers you excellent career prospects. Governments, research institutes, banks and major security and technology companies around the world are lining up to hire Internet Science & Technology specialists.
