What will I learn?

This programme is designed for those looking to gain an entry-level role as a web developer. You’ll also gain the practical IT and professional skills needed to succeed in your IT career.

On completion of this programme, graduates will be able to customise front-end web solutions or proceed to further IT related studies. They will also be capable of operating within applicable professional standards and practice, both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Where could this programme take you?

On completion of this programme, graduates will be able to build a complete web application following the entire web development process from end to end, using a content management system. In addition, graduates will have a broad set of IT skills that are internationally relevant. They will also be capable of operating within applicable professional standards and practice, both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Admission Requirements: NCEA University Entrance or equivalent CIE/IB award. Note that discretionary entrance is available to students who have gained exceptional marks in level 2 NCEA. Some of the above academic requirements may be waived for students over 20 years of age. IELTS test: Academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5.

For international students

Academic and work experience documentation - e.g. academic transcripts, employer referrals etc.

Minimum Age: Students must turn 18 within their first year of study at Whitecliffe

IELTS Academic overall score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 or equivalent

NCEA Level 3 in Computing, or equivalent knowledge, skills, or experience. If you do not have a Level 3 Certificate in Computing or equivalent, you can take our skills and knowledge assessment
