Your work experience or previous tertiary study may count towards achieving your qualification. Our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programme is designed for those who already have the on-the-job skills and knowledge, but want to take their career to the next level with a qualification.

Career opportunities

Besides the obvious roles within human-resources teams in medium and large-sized businesses, there are many other career paths in human resources. You will have the skills required to act as an employment mediator, payroll manager or any other position that involves a practical
understanding of employment relations.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students need to have a High School Diploma - SATV & SWATM (mini composite score 1250). Applicants must have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree. English language requirement: IELTS test: Academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5; TOEFL Paper-based test (pBT): Score of 550 (with an essay score of 5 TWE); TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): Score of 60 (with a writing score of 18); PTE (Academic) score of 50.

For international students

Applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

  • successfully completed a bachelor's degree in any field excluding the specific graduate diploma field or
  • successfully completed a Level 6 or 7 diploma and relevant work and/or life experience (equivalent to a bachelor's degree) or
  • evidence of equivalent practical, professional or educational experience e.g. three years' full-time work experience (relevant to business studies);
  • IELTS test: Academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5; TOEFL Paper-based test (pBT): Score of 550 (with an essay score of 5 TWE); TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): Score of 60 (with a writing score of 18); Cambridge English Examinations: B2 First, or B2 First for schools, or C1 Advanced, or C2 Proficiency with a score of 169. No less than 162 in each skill; Pearson Test of English (Academic): PTE (Academic) score of 50 with no band score lower than 42.
