The Master of Business is a research master’s degree that can be completed in just 18 months. Throughout your studies you develop advanced research skills, as well as a rigorous understanding of a specialist business field relevant to your interests.
The programme equips you with the knowledge and critical thinking skills in demand in today’s complex and changing business environments. Graduates of the Master of Business are well placed for further study in the PhD programme.

Further your understanding of financial accounting, management accounting, audit, tax and accounting information systems with the Accounting specialisation in the Master of Business.

You explore an accounting topic of your interest and will be guided by research-active academics who are known as experts in their distinctive areas of interest.

To graduate with a Master of Business, you must successfully complete 180 points from:

  • Specialisation papers
  • Research methods paper(s)

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Minimum entry requirements are a successfully completed bachelor’s degree in the same area of study from a recognised university. English Language requirements: Minimum IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher; TOEFL iBT score of 90; Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS) with A grade; GIE with B+ grade; CAE minimum overall score of 176; PTE minimum overall score of 58.

For international students

Completed one of the following or equivalent with a B grade average or higher in all relevant prerequisite papers in the selected subject area:

Bachelor of Business OR
Graduate Diploma in Business

Admission to the Master of Business is subject to approval by the Dean (or representative).
