Entry requirements

For international students

  • NCEA Level 2 OR
  • Equivalent academic achievement OR
  • On a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Executive Dean

Applicants whose first language is not English must have an IELTS (or equivalent including TOEFL) score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.0. TOEFL (iBT) score of 46 (with a writing score of 14); Cambridge B2 First (for Schools), C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency: B2 with score of 162; no less than 154 in each skill; OET: Minimum Grade C or 200 in all subtests; PToE (Academic) score of 42 with no band less than 36. The English Proficiency test is accepted for English language entry into all UCOL programmes.
