Relationship to other programmes/qualifications: This qualification bridges a gap in Information Technology programmes offered between NQF Level 3 and the Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology.

Your workload

This programme is delivered through 18 hours of classes per week for 17 weeks. You will be in small classes of around 20 students with excellent equipment and great staff. In addition, you will need to spend up to 12 hours per week in self-directed study (assignments and review work).

Entry requirements

For international students

There are no academic entry criteria.

It is preferred that learners hold the New Zealand Certificate in Computing (Intermediate User) (Level 3), appropriate assessment standards in Digital Technologies Level 2, or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.

International students will be individually assessed to ensure you are ready for this study.

IELTS test: General or Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5; TOEFL paper based test (PBT): Score of 530 (with an essay score of 4.5 TWE); TOEFL internet based test (IBT): Score of 46 (with a writing score of 20); Cambridge english examinations: FCE or FCE for schools with a score of 162. No less than 154 in each skill OET at Grade C in all subtests; Pearson test of english (ACADEMIC): PToE (Academic) score of 42; City & guilds IESOL: B2 Communicator with a score of 42; Language Certificate: B2 Communicator IESOL (LRWS) with PASS.
