This programme is your first step in your higher education journey.

You will improve your English language and maths skills. Our classrooms are supportive learning environments where you will become more confident and independent.

When you graduate, you will be ready to take the next step towards a career in social work. Or you can choose to take one of our level 3 or 4 health programmes.

Entry requirements

For international students

There are no academic requirements that need to be met to enter this programme.

IELTS test: General or Academic score of 5 with no band score lower than 5; TOEFL Paper-based test (pBT): Score of 500 (with an essay score of 4 TWE); TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): Score of 35 (with a writing score of 14); Cambridge English Examinations: B2 First or B2 First for Schools with a score of 154. No less than 154 in each skill; OET at Grade C in all sub-tests; Pearson Test of English (Academic): PTE (Academic) score of 36 with no band score lower than 36..
