With a BAcc degree from Dundee you’ll have the qualification and expertise to begin your career in accountancy. As the accounting and financial reporting world becomes more globalized we concentrate on the developing international standards adopted by the key trading blocks. You’ll discover the power and limitations of accountancy as a tool in society and the financial techniques you’ll need to help society function.Dundee has close links with the accountancy profession. You’ll benefit from the experience of practicing accountants and understand their contemporary challenges through their insights and guest lectures.A number of students opt to undertake an internship with an accountancy firm during their vacation, combining their study with work experience. The degree also provides the opportunity to study overseas at one of our partner institutions in Europe, Australia, Canada and the USA.We are focused on providing a stimulating, supportive, friendly and well-organised environment for students. This commitment was recognised by our rating of ‘Excellent’ by the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council. All accountancy staff, including professors, are active as teachers and researchers. Entry requirements

For students from United States

For entry onto year 1, students need to have: High School Graduation Diploma (HSGD) with 3.0 and SAT cumulative score of 1200 OR ACT score of 27. Entry to some degree programmes will also require SAT subject tests (with minimum of 600) or AP’s (with minimum Grade 3 or above) in specific subjects. Year 2: We also welcome applications from students holding an Associate Degree and seeking advanced level entry, as well as transfer applications from U.S colleges. Assessment of each individual application will determine the year of entry. If you wish to study medicine at Dundee, the following qualifications are all required: High School Graduation Diploma (HSGD with 3.5); 3 x AP exams with 5,5,5 to include Chemistry and Biology OR; 3 x SAT subject tests at 700 each to include Chemistry and Biology and; SAT cumulative score of 1400 overall, with minimum 700 in each part. If you wish to study dentistry at Dundee, the following qualifications are all required: High School Graduation Diploma (HSGD with 3.5); 3 x AP exams with 5,5,5 to include Chemistry and Biology OR; 3 x SAT subject tests at 700 each to include Chemistry and Biology and SAT cumulative score of 1400 overall, with minimum 700 in each part. if you have taken international school leaving qualifications such as A Levels or the International Baccalaureate (IB) will also be considered. IELTS score of 6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in writing and 6.0/5.5 in the other three components.
