What will I learn?

The Pre-Master’s stage of the IIM will give you the essential skills you need to continue studying one of Bangor’s exceptional postgraduate degrees in accounting and finance. Accounting professionals are relied on to resolve complex issues in the business world, and advanced education can give you a competitive edge in your career. The Bangor Business School is a leading European centre for research in the area of Accounting and Finance, and we’ve carried out consultancy work for the World Bank, the European Commission and the UK Treasury. This course provides the option to follow the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) specialist pathway and acquire the skills to complete the CFA Level 1 examination. The CFA has become the most respected and recognised professional qualification in finance in the world. After successfully completing the Pre-Master’s Stage at Bangor International College you will continue your IIM at Bangor Business School.

Accounting and Finance students study: 15 months IIM (One Term Pre-Master's) and 18 months IIM (Two Term Pre-Master's). On completion of this course, students will progress onto the following degree options: MSc Accounting; MSc Accounting and Finance; MSc Accounting and Banking.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no component below 5.5) for entry onto 15 months IIM (One Term Pre-Master’s) course or an IELTS score of 5.5 (with no component below 5.5) for entry onto 18 months IIM (Two Term Pre-Masters) course.
