The Foundry provides a regional hub to further build our already excellent relationships with global tech companies and local industry, and you will be able to present your work to employers at our Project Fair.On this four-year degree you will have the opportunity to learn about computer graphics, modelling computer systems, software engineering, writing mobile apps, data visualisation and some of the more advanced theoretical aspects of Computer Science.In your final year, you will undertake a large scientific project using problem solving principles, drawing on the research strengths of the department in the areas of human-computer interaction, theoretical computer science and visual computing.Computer Science at Swansea ranks in the top five for student satisfaction with a score of 94% (National Student Survey 2017).Teaching is informed by our world class research, and our team of leading academics includes Professor Matt Jones, Wolfson Research Merit fellow, whose passion is empowering rural digital communities in the developing world and in the UK; and Professor Harold Thimbleby, who designs dependable systems to accommodate human error, especially in healthcare.
