What will I learn?

The BA (Hons) Creative Industries (Photography) course gives students the professional skills needed for a career in today’s varying photographic industries. This one year top-up award is for students who have already spent two years on a relevant photographic course or industry-related award, and will ensure that your skills and intellectual abilities are raised to the level expected of a full Honours degree student.This Photography course is industry orientated and involves extensive group project work, which will focus on the development of industry related products. You will be based in our Cardiff campus and have plenty of opportunity to collaborate with your fellow students in photographic practices, design and research. This approach will bring together expertise from theatre, sound, radio, television, film, journalism, interactive media, design and more.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Applicants who have passed the High School Graduation Diploma with a grade lower than B can be considered for entry to our Foundation Years. Applicants who have passed the High School Graduation Diploma with a grade B average or above and have a SAT combined score of 1100 or above (550+ in each test) – Applicants who sat the SAT previous to 2016 will require a combined score of 1670+ can be considered for entry to the first year of the degree Applicants who have passed the High School Graduation Diploma with a grade B average or above and have an ACT (American College Test) score of 23 or above can be considered for entry to the first year of the degree Applicants who have passed the High School Graduation Diploma with a grade B average or above and have an Advanced Placement Tests with grade 3 and above in at least 3 relevant Group A, AP subjects can gain entry to the first year of the degree Applicants who have successfully completed a 2 year Associate Degree of Professional Diploma at an institution such as a community college can be considered for advanced entry to the 2nd year of a relevant degree programme. IELTS with an average overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component for undergraduate study.
