What will I learn?

The BA (Hons) Criminology and Sociology will give you the chance to study two fascinating fields in the social sciences together, spending equal time on both disciplines. You will explore the different elements that motivate people to behave the way they do, and begin to understand what makes a 'crime' and what makes someone a 'criminal'. The course will cover topics including the effects of social diversity and inequality on crime rates, and you will begin to develop knowledge of a range of influences on psychological well-being. As well as studying criminal behaviour and the justice system, you will begin to understand and predict the many factors involved in human behaviour, gaining transferable analytical and research skills that are highly valued by employers. You have the option to study this course 100% online via distance learning or via blended learning on-campus at one of our study centres.**Blended Learning:** When you sign up for one of our compressed blended courses and become a student at an Arden University study centre, you get the best of both worlds.
