What will I learn?

Our Cryptography MSc course will give you the opportunity to explore a specialist area of study relating to information security that is based on mathematical theory and computer science. The high demand for cryptography specialists in the business and technology industries offers defined and fulfilling career opportunities and facilitates entry into roles that require a master’s specialism. Whether you want to understand the potential of blockchain or examine how your identity and data is protected online, our Cryptography MSc course will give you the tools to examine and learn about information security in the digital age. As computer science develops rapidly and quantum computing becomes a reality the alogrithms that secure our joined up digital world are under stress in a way not to seem for over half a century and graduates with the skills we develop are widely sought. Cryptography is at the intersection of mathematics and computer science and is no longer just the realm of spies and governments. Every private citizen who uses social networking apps has personal data that should be secured while businesses routinely rely on cryptography.
