What will I learn?

Our BA (Hons) Design for Theatre and Screen (with Integrated International Foundation Year and Professional Practice Year) is a five year degree programme, specifically designed to provide international students with the English language and creative skills before they embark on year one of a degree. Your fourth academic year would then include a year in industry placement.Create dynamic environments, costumes and props for the stage and for film and television sets on our exciting BA (Hons) Design for Theatre and Screen course.In an industry where designers and makers are expected to be all-rounders who can work with a wide range of professionals, you’ll learn all the essential design, making and technical skills you’ll need in your career, and put those skills into practice as you take part in work placements and collaborative projects, such as working with TV Production students at Maidstone Television Studios.You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of the discipline, learning about the history and theory of theatre and film arts, underpinned by art and design history. Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students need to have one of the following: US High School Diploma with GPA 3.0 or better, plus SAT scores (if taken in 2016 or later) of 1160 or better; US High School Diploma with GPA 3.0 or better, plus SAT scores (if taken before 2016) of 1600 or better; US High School Diploma with GPA 3.0 or better, plus two or three Advanced Placement tests with scores of 3 or better; US High School Diploma with GPA 3.0 or better, plus ACT scores of 24 or better.
